After decades of serving the wealthy to serve themselves I have recently found myself in position to help them help the world around them. In 2007 we formed a company called Cogito Landscape which is committed to "growing people that grow places". We not only grow the people that do the work, but we work with the developers and land owners to teach them that sustainability is requires people to do the sustaining. We work with them to create the plans to accomplish this and assemble the tools to do it. In the last year we have been instrumental in preserving and restoring 10's of thousands of acres in the Southern Appalachians, as well as influencing developers, architects and landplanners nation wide.

I created this journal to have a place to vent my trials, thoughts, and over analyzing so my wife won't have to listen to them all of the time.
